"Bruno Was A Giant!"
|
|
Bruno Mozzone took great pride in being a Director at a local Cooperative Bank. This 1975 photo (By Pete Mozzone) shows Ken Healey, Heavy Equip. Operator with Mr. Mozzone at construction site during building of a branch bank facility.

Almost five years after Bruno's passing, I'm back at building... this time a car-barn at our home... Many of our old sub-contractors helped out like Bruce Cornell of Cornell Form company, and the materials were supplied by Bruno's friend Joe Delgado of Dartmouth Building Supply. Framing sub-contractor Bob Adams is shown below. Still maintaining my construction supervisors license, I've done the general contracting myself. It's been good to work with Taunton Building Inspector Mr. Frank Avila and his Dept. again!

Bruno's family offers a grateful "THANK YOU" to Rev. Fr. Bento Fraga and Deacon Bob Hill of St. Paul's Church, Rt. 140, Taunton, Massachusetts for the wonderful serviced conducted for Bruno.
Send e-mail, and request file containing remarks offered after mass by Daughter, Mary-Ann Mozzone, and Son, Peter G. Mozzone.

OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONALS: This is the only way Bruno's family can describe the work of the owners, and staff of O'Keefe/Wade Funeral Home of Taunton.

"That SPECIAL Hammer!", and the SPIRIT OF BRUNO! Bruno Mozzone was a builder, banker, lumber/hardware store owner before his retirement and eventual passing.... He would often give a hammer to a customers child and say, "Use this, and grow up to be a carpenter!".... He was like Johnny Appleseed! Building/Remodeling contractor Bob Adams (Left) and Pete Mozzone admire a special hammer. Bob's late dad, Mr. Albert Adams, Sr. was also a building contractor as was Pete's dad Mr. Bruno Mozzone. When Bob was born, he was a bit pre-mature, and in a special part of the Morton Hospital Nursery. Bruno went to visit the family, and as it was his practice, he brought a new hammer for the baby. When Bob was finally wheeled into his mom's room for the first time, Bruno had somehow managed to sneak the hammer into the baby's basket! Bob says, "This hammer is my lucky charm... I've had it since I was a kid!" adding, "I'll always be able to work, as long as I have this hammer!" He still uses it for finish work on a regular basis.... If you want a referral to a great Building/Remodeling Contractor... Contact Pete Mozzone (508) 320-5337 to be put in touch with Bob Adams.
