TAUNTON HERRINGS:
Bruno Mozzone, (Upper Far Right #29) played Semi-Pro Football with a group called the 'Taunton Herrings'. (Late 1940's)

Bruno's Father:
Ermelogildo Mozzone was an imigrant from Italy just after the turn of the century. He worked for a local brick yard until he could establish his own logging and fire wood business, with HIS brother, and 'Mozzone Bros' began. This early company passed, and in the late 1940's Bruno and HIS brother established the 2nd 'Mozzone Bros'. During this period, Bruno worked to establish milling works, and lumber sales, which evolved into new home construction. Bruno was known for many years in Taunton as the builder of "MOZZONE HOMES".
For health, and other reasons, Bruno sold out his interest in the business in the mid 1990's, and "Mozzone Bros." ended operations, as it had originally been organized.

BRUNO's Hobby:
Bruno (With Sun Glasses) was an avid collector and operator of antique cars. He's shown with his 1930 Model "A" Ford Deluxe Roadster during a parade in 1972. His passanger is Mr. George Taylor, of Taunton. The youngsters in the rumble seat were two unidentified members of a local, "Young Marines" group who participated in the parade.
In 1956, when Pete was 5, Bruno brought home a WW2 Surplus JEEP. The father/son team spend many hours beach running, surf fishing, and enjoying the Jeep for years. It resulted in Pete having a new career, after their previous family business was desolved. See CoolJeeps link below.....

NEVER ANYTHING LIKE THIS:

THE LAST MOZZONE HOME:
While the construction of this residence was due in full, to the savings, money management, and encouragement of my wife, Ms. Alicia M. Kullas, it has become a standing tribute to my father in that I would not have been able to complete the project, had I not learned so much from him.
